HP stream 15 wifi networks not showing up

I tried this:
You could download the following and transfer them to Mint, right click in the folder the files are in and choose "open in terminal" then do sudo dpkg -i linux-*.deb and once the packages are installed, reboot

It seemed to do nothing. I'm not sure if I missed a step but this was the fix that helped someone on a different thread with the same laptop.

If you have an internet connection to the laptop, run the 2 commands in terminal and post termbin URL

Code: Select all

wget -N -t 5 -T 10 https://github.com/UbuntuForums/wireless-info/raw/master/wireless-info && chmod +x wireless-info && ./wireless-info
cat wireless-info.txt | nc termbin.com 9999
