Wifi D/C after sleep on dell insp 15

Post by punc » Fri Aug 02, 2019 2:29 pm

Network info:
Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 / AR9565 Wireless
vendor: Dell driver: ath9k IF: wlpls0

If you need any more info let me know. Basically the card seems to be working fine until the computer goes to sleep, then disconnects and doesn't show any networks until computer is rebooted, then does the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I already read around a bit and have made sure my router is using AES encryption.

No, you misunderstood. The link offers a 1 time solution, by one of the most experienced forummembers of this forum. It is definitely worth a try.

I can understand that your mom cant enter terminal commands. But maybe you can...?

Ok I did misunderstand then, thanks for the comments I'll try this. I know basic java and build systems but have very limited knowledge in linux, most of what I do know comes from android.

Wifi and suspend problems are common in Linux, unfortunately. But there is usually a good workaround or solution to be found. Let us know if you succeeded with the terminal commands describe in my forum post link above.
