Post by cgagnor » Thu Aug 08, 2019 4:09 am

Hello,

I am an happy but very basic and new Linux mint user and I get some trouble in installing and get working on my pc the subject WiFi adapter.
My system infos are:
PC Info.txt
(3.19 KiB) Downloaded 6 times
The kernel did not auto recognize the hardware an I have tried driver manager but nothing detected.
I have then used the cd driver that come with the USB key with some Linux folder that instruct user to run a script “install.sh” and enjoy. But after the script is run I only get 2 output error attached down and nothing installed, detected.

This how-to from WiFi guru chili555 should solve it:

Yes! It works perfectly, many thanks for the solution provided. Just please one more suggestion, did you know if it would be necessary to setting up again all the commands at every kernel update or just when I re-install the whole os? Bye

You shouldn't need to repeat this after a kernel update, because the how-to that chili555 provided uses dkms. :)
