WIFI SSID Is not Detected

Post by ataro » Thu Aug 15, 2019 6:09 am

I have Mint version 18.3 & 19, WIFI card is able to detect all SSID except one SSID. It's unable to detect/connect to this SSID.
The same SSID works fine on all Windows laptops, Mobile phones.I have even manually inputted the SSID but no luck. The laptop is Dell Latitude E6400

I would guess the network that isn't detected is on a 2.4 GHz channel higher than channel 11. Can you change the channel being used?

This happens in every Linux distro I know of with Broadcom wifi, it might be something in Broadcoms firmware for Linux that causes the limitation
