Firefox Not Working. Help!

Post by swirlinglotus »

I installed the newest version of Linux Mint a couple of months ago. Actually, I don't remember exactly how long ago it was, but everything has been working perfectly until today. It's version 19.2. Yesterday evening, I started having trouble accessing the internet. Now, it says, "Hmm. We're having trouble finding that site. We can't connect to the server at [whatever site I try to access]."

I've looked at pretty much every single solution I could find online and they either don't work or I don't even understand what they're saying. (I'm a tech novice) Also, this morning, I noticed a folder on my computer screen that says, "Old Firefox Data." I have no idea what that's for.

So, if anyone has any tips, that would be much appreciated and like I said, I'm a novice, so please ELI5. Thank you all in advance!

Please generate an overview of your system like this:
- Launch a terminal window (this is how to launch a terminal window);
- make the terminal window full screen, to avoid chopped lines;
- Copy/paste this command into the terminal:

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
(if you type: the letter F is a capital letter)

Press Enter.

Copy/paste the output in your next message.

Do the same with the following four commands:

Code: Select all

rfkill list all

Code: Select all

Code: Select all

Code: Select all
