Now, please post the results of these commands:

Code: Select all

iwconfig

Code: Select all

lsusb

Code: Select all

lspci
Because you're apparently working from another machine or Windows, I ask that you copy the output of each command into a text file and post them as attachments to your reply.

The results will help us to help you.

shadman, off hand, I don't see any wifi hardware but I know it's there because you said it worked during the install. Someone with more knowledge will need to pick it up from here.

No actually after installing Linux Mint, I sent the laptop to a servicing centre for cleaning service and they fully disintegrated it into parts. After that servicing, all of the features of Linux Mint are working except the Wifi and Bluetooth. Would u please let me know , which hardware could be displaced or disconnected from my laptop??

Here is the output:

Hello shadmen,

the first thing you do is to go into the BIOS and look, if there is the possibility of enabling wifi. Here is the link to the service manual of HP Pavilion G6 with the information of the setup utility:

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/71809 ... =89#manual

And you should disable secure boot in the BIOS.

By the way, many possible wifi cards can be installed: Intel, Atheros, Realtek, Ralink, Broadcom...If it doesn't turn out differently, then you would have to check it directly and can immediately see if the card is inserted correctly and the antennas are plugged in correctly.
