Post by tolyamironov75 »

Installed Linux Mint 19.3. There is a wired connection, but no Wi-Fi.

Please generate an overview of your system like this:
- Launch a terminal window (this is how to launch a terminal window);
- make the terminal window full screen, to avoid chopped lines;
- Copy/paste this command into the terminal:

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
(if you type: the letter F is a capital letter)

Press Enter.

Copy/paste the output in your next message.

Do the same with the following four commands:

Code: Select all

rfkill list all

Code: Select all

iwconfig

Code: Select all

lsusb

Code: Select all

lspci

That should be a Realtek RTL8723DE WiFi chipset. Try this:
https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.c ... k.html#ID8
(item 8 )

Afterwards, you might need to switch antenna selection, like this:
https://easylinuxtipsproject.blogspot.c ... k.html#ID2
(item 2)

Too many spaces. Copy the commands, do not try to type them: it's too easy to make mistakes then.

Code: Select all

sudo modprobe rtl8723de ant_sel=2

Sorry, I don't speak Russian (although it's a project for the future). :wink:

Yes, my mistake.... Of course it's the rtlwifi_new driver that should be in the command now. :P
Try this:

First verify the name of the active driver:

Code: Select all

lsmod | grep rtl
If it mentions rtlwifi_new, try this:

Code: Select all

sudo modprobe rtlwifi_new ant_sel=2
