When in Mint I hover the mouse over wireless symbol on right hand bottom side of the screen it indicates 70% as the strength of the signal.

I am trying a wi-fi usb adapter

Code: Select all

Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0bda:f179 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. 802.11n
But already the

Code: Select all

Device-2: Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Wireless Network Adapter
  vendor: Hewlett-Packard driver: rtl8821ce v: v5.5.2.1_35598.20191029
  port: 2000 bus ID: 03:00.0
IF: wlo1 state: up mac: <filter>

adapter is active. How do I disable the Realtek 8821CE and enable Realtek Semiconductor Corp. 802.11n
I want to see if Realtek Semiconductor Corp. 802.11n works well.

Code: Select all

Network:
Device-1: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet
  vendor: Hewlett-Packard driver: r8169 v: kernel port: 3000 bus ID: 02:00.0
IF: eno1 state: down mac: <filter>
Device-2: Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac PCIe Wireless Network Adapter
  vendor: Hewlett-Packard driver: N/A port: 2000 bus ID: 03:00.0
Device-3: Realtek 802.11n type: USB driver: rtl8188fu bus ID: 1-2:2
IF: wlx00e0262e17fc state: up mac: <filter>

inxi report indicates that the new w-fi usb adapter interface is up. Now the network is working well without any issues.
