Bad news:
unfortunately the bootable USB version of LM20 makes everything worse: when I suspend with wifi on, I can't even get it out of suspend anymore. So actually I appear to be quite lucky with the problems I have rn. In iwconfig I found the Power Management to be turned on, but from what I read I need to reboot the system to apply changes to power management and ofc these changes won't be saved when I only use the bootable USB...

Maybe if some of the errors are cleared then your problems could be reduced?

Code: Select all

[ 11.798045] ath10k_pci 0000:03:00.0: Direct firmware load for ath10k/pre-cal-pci-0000:03:00.0.bin failed with error -2
[ 11.798058] ath10k_pci 0000:03:00.0: Direct firmware load for ath10k/cal-pci-0000:03:00.0.bin failed with error -2
[ 11.798760] ath10k_pci 0000:03:00.0: Direct firmware load for ath10k/QCA6174/hw2.1/firmware-6.bin failed with error -2
These errors mean the system is looking for files you do not have. Check in /lib/firmware/ath10k.

I did a search on "direct firmware load failed" and found some results which mentioned the -2 error message. Here is one that seemed to have a good description on how to, generally speaking, find the missing files.
When trying to use a device I get a message “Direct firmware load failed”
