A humble request; I like linux a lot but internet is very much necessary on my pc so i need help otherwise i would have to quit on Linux.
and one more thing i don't have a cd reader so i copied the "linux" file from my friend's PC and in one of the files it says the linux kernels must be less than 3.6.6
but i don't have a way to install that kernel either
and it was a doubt too so i thought it would be good to ask you.

Looks like the RTL8188FU chipset. Try this:

That should work, but if not, try this one line at a time:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install build-essential git dkms linux-headers-$(uname -r)
git clone https://github.com/kelebek333/rtl8188fu
sudo dkms add ./rtl8188fu
sudo dkms build rtl8188fu/1.0
sudo dkms install rtl8188fu/1.0
sudo cp ./rtl8188fu/firmware/rtl8188fufw.bin /lib/firmware/rtlwifi/
Reboot

Reboot
the last command didn't do anything on the terminal window
and it didn't do anything for the wifi unavailable problem too.

DON'T KNOW HOW BUT UPDATING TO THE LATEST KERNEL AND THEN AGAIN DOWNGRADING IT TO THE OLDEST I HAD WORKED (IN MY CASE IT WAS FROM 5.4.52---5.8 then back to 5.4.26)

THANKS EVERY ONE WHO TOOK THEIR TIME OUT TO HELP ME.
FINALLY I CAN CONTINUE WITH MY WORK PEACEFULLY.
ALSO TO BE HONEST I HAD DOWNLOADED WINDOWS 10 ISO FILE TO NEARLY HALF OF ITS SIZE SOMETHING LIKE 3.4GB BUT THEN MIRACLE HAPPENED.
THANKS EVERYONE ONCE AGAIN AND I LOVE LINUX!!!
