cAUSE I HAVE SOME DOCUMENTS IN PIBLISHER THAT I NEED TO DO WHILE I FIND A SUITABLE SUBSTITUTION.

I KNOW IT CAN BE DONE. THE THING IS HOW?

It deffo works with Crossover Office as that is what it was made for, but that costs money, try wine which is free.

if you install PlayOnLinux it has the option to install MS Office 2000/2003/2007
