Can't activate WiMax adapter

Post by majoritywhip »

Hey all....

I have an integrated Intel WiMax (6250) adapter that is eternally disconnected. In the Network Manager it is grayed out. All of the appropriate drivers are installed.

Code: Select all

rfkill list

0: phy0: Wireless LAN
	Soft blocked: no
	Hard blocked: no
1: i2400m-usb:1-1.1:1.0: WiMAX
	Soft blocked: yes
	Hard blocked: no
So then I tried this and it didn't unblock it.

Code: Select all

rfkill unblock all
I tried

Code: Select all

rfkill unblock 1
and

Code: Select all

rfkill unblock wimax
Then I tried dmesg | grep iwl

Code: Select all

I even did a soft block on the Wireless LAN and tried to unblock the WiMax and it wouldn't work.
I can not remove the soft block. Help!!!!!

Make sure linux-firmware-nonfree is installed. This is the firmware required for Intel wireless chips (except 2xxx, 3xxx, 4xxx series).
