Cannot ping other PC's but i can ping the router

Post by karuga »

I want to communicate via a wireless lan. The firewalls are off. I can ping the router but i cant ping other PC's. They are all in the same network.
What is probably wrong?

Can you ping after running sudo modprobe rt61pci?

I had the same card, and had to add 'rt61pci' at the end of the /etc/modules:
sudo su
echo rt61pci >> /etc/modules

Am still not able to ping even after : sudo modprobe rt61pci

I tend to think that my router may be having a firewall. If i make my own ADHOC network, am able to communicate. Any idea how i can bypass this?
