Multimedia keys only work with Amarok [Solved]

Post by corcaigher »

I do not use Amarok. I am using Clementine; I don't even have Amarok installed yet I cannot get my "Play/Stop" "Next" "Previous" keys to work in Clementine. Even after removing Amarok shortcuts. Can anyone help me get this resolved?

Key bindings are found in System Settings > Shortcuts and Gestures. You probably need to define custom shortcuts there for your application.
They'll all look at me and say,
Hey look at him! I'll never live that way.
But that's okay -
They're just afraid to change.

With the latest upgrade from Clementine found my multimedia keys working normally.
As also had the issue worked in Amarok but not in Clementine until it upgraded to 1.1.
As believe was added to the repo's a few months ago. So you should already be upgraded to 1.1.1?
Check your version.

If 1.1.1 and still problems than may be a specific keyboard issue?

Installed libprotobuf-lite7, then upgraded Clementine to 1.1.1; now the multimedia keys are functioning. Outstanding. Thanks.
