[Fixed] KDE styles screwed up by wrong widget style in qtconfig

Postby jannuhat » Thu Jun 02, 2016 4:17 pm

Linux Mint KDE 17.3 seems to have some bugs in the widget styles.

If one changes the used widget style in System Settings all currently opened applications start working normally, but all new application windows are still screwed up.

This is easiest to see in Krita where the colour scheme makes the configuration window butt-ugly as well as unreadable (sorry about the Finnish in the screenshot):
screwed up oxygen style.png
screwed up default oxygen style

Note the mismatched colour, oversized buttons and unreadable text on the left.

After going to System Settings and switching the widget style from oxygen to something else and then back, the same window looks like it should:
correct oxygen style.png
correctly drawn oxygen style

This bug affects all KDE widget styles.

I'm quessing this bug is caused by some retarded Kubuntu patches. Does anyone know how I could get rid of this and get KDE to look and behave as it should?

Found a fix. Had to install qt4-qtconfig and set the correct widget style there as well.
