[SOLVED] Plasma 5.8.5 cloning displays still not working

The problem is that after logging out/in the desktop icons and widgets are lost on both the PC monitor and the cloned TV. So I have to unify the displays again. Was having success a couple months ago with Mint 17.3 and Plasma 5.7.5 from kubuntu ppa/staging-plasma, but now it failed again with Mint 18 and Plasma 5.8.4 from kubuntu ppa/backports. hey hallergard, sorry i can't help with your issue -- but i wanted to quickly ask about your setup for your vlog videos. I'm looking to get into that myself, but not sure where to start with regards to audio/visual equipment. I checked out some resource sites like https://vloggingcamera.com - but they don't provide great advice on audio equipment. Any suggestions? Hi topherbeats, I have not spent any money on getting proper equipment. I use my webcam for recording audio and for picture in picture. And I use screenrecorders, in Linux ssr simplescreenrecorder. For filming booting etc have to use my tablet Nexus 9 on a simple tripode. If I were younger I would get some proper hardware esp. for the audio recording. Rivers at Tech Connect You Tube often give some very good advice.

With Plasma 5.9.4 (Kubuntu 17.04) it is finally possible to unify displays!
