Second Monitor being detected by the OS, but not recieving a signal

Post by Davixxa »

I've been having this issue, since I installed Mint on my secondary partition, where I couldn't get my secondary monitor up and running. I've created a reddit thread on /r/linuxmint, but to no avail.

The issue, to be short and concise is:
My secondary monitor is being detected by Mint, but is not getting a signal back, and simply gives me the Monitor OSD "No Signal Detected" error. The monitor is being ran over DVI.
The issue is unique to Linux-based systems. (Can't rule any out, as Mint is the first one I've really tried), as Windows is running just fine with the monitor.

Kernel Version: 4.10.0-21
Mesa Version: 17.1
Mint Version: Linux Mint 18.1 Serena KDE (64-bit)

Here's my specs, that I find should be relevant to this:
  • AMD FX-6300
  • R9 285
  • 16 GB DDR3 RAM
Output of: xrandr | pastebin https://gist.github.com/2e96d82617cc415 ... 25d5af80a9
Output of inxi -G | pastebin https://gist.github.com/eff9afd9da170df ... ff441483bd

I was told to use said commands on IRC, but it didn't seem to solve my problems.

I would appreciate any help possible.

Nevermind. The solution was too simple. Plugging it into another port worked.
