18.2 KDE Logout crashes kdeconnectd & kactivitymanagerd

Post by mlippert »

Has anyone else logged out (not restart or shutdown) from Linux Mint 18.2 KDE 64 and encountered both kdeconnectd and kactivitymanagerd crashing with segmentation faults?
Executable: kdeconnectd PID: 3618 Signal: Segmentation fault (11) Time: 7/10/17 15:33:54
Executable: kactivitymanagerd PID: 3468 Signal: Segmentation fault (11) Time: 7/10/17 15:33:54
Is there a way to fix it (I know it's not critical, because I can just click on Close when I log back in, but it's minorly annoying and shouldn't happen).

Side note: this is happening in a VirtualBox 5.1.22 VM and I've updated everything the Update Manager shows.

mr_raider thanks for the data point. I'll have to do some testing, because I haven't done much other than installing a bunch of packages and updating the kernel :-). When I get the chance I'll try to start all over and see what happens.
