Kmail

Postby GordB » Wed Sep 20, 2017 10:37 am

I have 18.2 KDE and have set up my imap account in kmail. All emails have downloaded and populated the folders, but the stupid kmail splash screen won't give way to being able to read the emails. Any ideas or fix will be appreciated please.
Thanks, Gord

It seems I have two accounts.

I have 18.2 KDE and have set up my imap account in kmail. All emails have downloaded and populated the folders, but the stupid kmail splash screen won't give way to being able to read the emails. Any ideas or fix will be appreciated please.

HI "gabbman", & Anyone Else Interested in this,

I found that with KDE 18.x that after adding email accounts to Kmail, that you have to restart it, maybe even logout and log back in or restart your computer before you can then view your email messages. I think it has to do with security. Afterwards, Kmail works great.

You can also use Thunderbird...

Hope this helps ...

Those did not work, what I did was delete the account and close kmail, then add the account again...we are good now.
Thanks, Gord
