Hello everyone,
i'm new to this forum.
I would like to know where exactly a theme (KDE) is stored in linux mint. I would like to create a new theme, either by editing an already existing theme or creating a new one from scratch.
Can't get Dekoration to work, but i can try by creating a new theme from scratch, editing an existing theme and create custom graphics.
Could you please gime me an hint?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Creating and customizing a theme
KDE themes are handled by KDE, not Linux Mint.

Re: Creating and customizing a theme
Tried the link in the thread you've suggested.
I can't find the default path indicated.
There's a lot of confusion, cause there is not a default scheme to edit or create a new theme, even following the instructions in the techbase.

Re: Creating and customizing a theme
I followed the first link and got to this page ThemeDetails. You're right. It seems to have the information you need, but you have to find the theme files first. I searched in dolphin and found them here:
Code: Select all
/usr/share/plasma/desktoptheme/
Code: Select all
catweazel@Fenella ~ $ ls -l /usr/share/plasma/desktoptheme/
total 24
drwxr-xr-x 7 root root 4096 Sep 6 22:15 air
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Sep 6 22:15 breeze-dark
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Sep 6 22:15 breeze-light
drwxr-xr-x 8 root root 4096 Sep 6 22:15 default
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Sep 6 22:14 linuxmint

Thank you very much.
I found it.
Maybe the KDE techpage are outdated (2015)

I think they make assumptions about where linux distributions put their files. The info seems to be reasonably current.Maybe the KDE techpage are outdated (2015)
Cheers.
