Error in checksum
Error in checksum: sha256sum.txt - linuxmint-18.3-kde-64bit.iso checksum & downloaded file checksum not equal - changed with 18.3 cinnamon 64 - 2018 02 23 12:27

If torrent works for you, then that's a good thing. And even if torrent does checksum computations, always trust but verify. And then after burning the ISO to DVD/USB, verify again.
