Display settings

Post by Alex_L »

Hi

I have two monitors connected to my KDE Box.

Since a while, the displays only showed up with the wrong resolution. To correct that, I have to go to system settings->Display and monitor->Displays and correct the values by hand. Then I click on Apply and all is ok.
But when I logged out and in again, the displays have only a resolution of 1024x768, which is not the wished size.
Where are these settings stored, or how can I store these values to have them right in my session without modifying them by hand.

[Solved] Display settings

Post by Alex_L »

I finally found the solution of the problem: Simply reconfigure X by typing in a terminal (no X):
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg

That's all.

I found the solution on: https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=690760
