What do I have to do to get my HP printer to install?

I figured it out. I had to install the hplip package.

Really? Which version of Mint comes without hplip? I thought it was installed by default on all current Mint versions.

I'm using KDE 18.3. It had cups installed but not hplip. Anyway, the printer installer couldn't find my printer until I went into synaptic and installed
hplip. Then everything worked flawlessly.
