Ctrl+F11 for Context Menu

Post by natasha »

Good afternoon!

I have an HP Omen laptop which is without Home and Context Menu keys.

I have defined F12 key as Home key through change in ~/.Xmodmap file:

Code: Select all

~ $ cat .Xmodmap
keycode 96 = Home

But how can I assign a combination Ctrl+F11 as an analog of Context Menu key?

I use Linux Mint 18.2 with KDE (Plasma) desktop.

Thank you in advance for any help.

One potential candidate for what you want is AutoKey available in Software Manager.

I use it to do a lot of kybd shortcuts.
e.g. for Redshift I have assigned
  • cntl-alt-m as Morning with bright blue highlights on
cntl-alt-e as Evening with blue turned off
cntl-alt-b as Bedtime, go to Red screen to protect my eyes
    .
    .
cntl-alt-o is for Shutdown and Power OFF right now
and a lot more, but that gives you an idea
