Cant update and deskop freeze

Post by BrOiler1985 »

Hey Folks!

My first post in this part of this forum, so a friendly "Hello @ all!"!

I have a problem with Mint 9 KDE. After a fresh install, I wanted to use the update-manager but it cant make updates, becaus of broken packages. I read that this is a bug and I googled how to fix it, but found nothing useful. I then updated with apt-get upgrade and apt-get dist-upgrade. Then I installed the linux-headers-generic (without the xserver wont work). I configured my two screens and resized the KDE Panel to fit the screen to the corner. I couldnt "pull" it to end of the screen and now there is a little white thingy that flashes randomly and my deskop wont react anymore.

Can someone help me with one of the problems?

Thanks :)

Greetings from Aachen (Germany),
Tommy
