suggestions for next edition of KDE

Post by Azrael »

Since the blog entry looking for suggestions for linux mint KDE is closed, I'm posting this here.

1) One major problem with OpenOffice is that Spelling and Grammar tools are not installed by default. A friend of mine just stating out had major problems because of this. I suggest that these tools be added to OpenOffice (or LibreOffice if you use that) the next edition of linux mint KDE.

2) As a note of praise, I was impressed that libwebcam was already installed in linux mint KDE 9. As a result, it was not much trouble setting up my UVC camera. I'm still having trouble with auto-focus on my logitech camera though. I can control it using guvcview so thats not too bad. But I can't get the auto-focus functioning in Skype. I did try some methods found on the ubuntu and logitech forums. However, I could not get it to work. Maybe you could find someway to get this working for the next edition Boo?

Thanks,
Azrael
Elisa
