Found a minor bug in Mint 10 KDE RC

Post by colyn »

I set my panel to auto-hide but when I open Gimp the panel becomes visible and does not re-auto-hide after closing Gimp. In order for it to auto-hide I have to reboot or alt+ctrl+backspace to re-start X server..

Anybody else notice this??

Yes colyn, I have noticed the same. Auto Hide works only for a short while, and requires exiting and logging in again.

I noticed a few minutes ago when I start Gimp the layers, channels, paths, etc box in the panel taskmanager is flashing. If I single click it it stops flashing and the panel auto-hides and works as it should.

Not sure if this is a Gimp or KDE issue..

Sounds like those windows are trying to get your attention. No idea why... but maybe there's a window rule that you can set to ignore requests for attention from GIMP?

Or maybe there's a setting in the task manager settings on the panel to turn off requests for attention?

Or maybe it's a GTK thing when running in KDE?

Lots of "ifs"... :?

I've looked into that but no changes make any difference..
