How to open command line (CLI) terminal?
My first date with KDE. Running Lisa. I have figured out most of the important stuff for my work except the way to access shell prompt. How do I open the window where I can type linux commands? Konsole doesn't show up anything. I am sure this is elementary but so far I have not been able to access the shell prompt from KDE. I need some help.

Can you elaborate on that point?pbanerjee wrote:Konsole doesn't show up anything.
What happens when you go to the launcher (typically in the lower left corner), then go to Applications, then System, then Terminal?

Thanks Joe, for answering.
When I type "Konsole" in search box, it doesn't show up anything.
Okay, I found out I do have xterm and uxterm under Applications-> system
Are these same as the command terminal in Gnome?
Also, the fonts in xterm and uxterm windows are hardly workable. Where can I make the fonts "normal" ?
Thanks once again for helping out.

"terminal" is not a command.
It really does not matter whether you use Konsole, XTerm, Gnome terminal, etc.

Thanks Albert. Yes, I do appreciate that "terminal" is just a search string to locate an application/tool. I just got too specific about the search string itself.
So that means I have landed up with the right interface to type linux commands i.e. uxterm ?
Thanks Guys. Heartily appreciated.

Yes, just run your commands there and it's fine.
