Linux Mint 12 KDE RC Black screen on Live DVD

I downloaded Linux Mint 12KDE Rc to day and tried to run live disk

It loaded fine until it got to the desktop then nothing but a black screen

It sounded the log in sound but nothing else
I have run LM 12 Gnome and it ran fine with no problems

computer specs are pent 4 2.4gb processor
1024 memory
Nvidia Geforce FX5200 video card

Will appreciate any help on this

I would like to run it but cant seem to get the live DVD to run so I can install

One of the options when the disk starts up is to check the media for errors. Have you done that? What was the result?

Yes
I downloaded from two different sites and checked discs and memory
Also tried compatibility mode nothing worked

Found the workaround

At start screen for KDE clicked Tab and removed -- at the bottom
And entered nomodeset
That allowed it to load
