edit menu on xfce

Postby geezuslvr » Thu Sep 06, 2012 1:20 pm

Using Mint xfce - the newest, greatest one.

I installed sgt-puzzles and I cant find them anywhere on the menu. I did find them /usr/games. What I would like to know is how can i edit the start menu under Start>Games>Sgt-Puzzles>then all the games?

Thanks for your input

Shows how to do it manually and also mentions LXMenuEditor which did not work for me

alacarte does have some functionality in Xfce. I use it to turn off system management stuff that appears in the Preferences section (Synaptic, Users and Groups, etc).

You have to install it without recommends or it will try to drag in most of GNOME though

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install --no-install-recommends alacarte

Agree that Alacarte is worth a try.
