[SOLVED] Need To Create Opaque Active Work Window

Post by jimwg »

Greetings:

Is there any way via Compositor or hacks in Window Manager Tweaks to render a active window opaque which is being worked with? I'd like to write a document in LibreOffice on pages translucent enough to show a desktop image in the background.

Thanks for any hints!

I presume that you want your window to be transparent, rather than opaque?

According to http://wiki.xfce.org/faq:
If display compositing is enabled, the Xfce Window Manager allows you to adjust the opacity of a window by hovering your mouse over the title bar, holding down the Alt key, and using the scroll wheel (down lowers the opacity, and up raises it). So use Alt+ScrollWheelUp to reset the transparency.
I haven't tested this, because I'm using Windows XP at the moment.
