Compiz window borders?

Post by mastersworddude »

Hey, I'm using 14 XFCE. Decided to use compiz it seems to be working fine, except the borders on the top of my windows changed, it's a different style and the buttons are on the left. It won't let me enter the Windows Manager while using compiz, and when i change it back to Xfwm4 it's fine.
Is there any way i can use my normal borders on Compiz?

Compiz has the same problem with MATE. Maybe the solution is the same? You can find it in Compiz, Conky, Docks, & Widgets part of the forums, and it involves installing and using gconf-editor (or is it dconf-editor now?) to change the entry for the window border theme.

If you use emerald themes you will be able to change your themes anyway you like.
Thats where I would start looking for a solution.
