How come my games are slow or keep shuting down?

Post by BoltActionGamer14 » Mon Aug 12, 2013 5:23 am

I have a Acer Aspire 5100 with 2 gb of ram a AMD Turion(tm) 64 2.20 GHz. Whenever I have tried to run minecraft it runs but I'm only allocating 198M or 156M to minecraft. When I run World of Tanks It will only work unitl I log in. Thanks in advanced for who is reading this.

maybe your mobile graphics (ATI Radeon™ Xpress 1100) can't run world of tanks ?

Or maybe this graphics hardware only works under windows and not wine ?

This is very low spec graphics hardware (5 year old mobile graphics) that I would expect not to work well with modern games - most 3d games now want intel hd 3000 as a minimum.

But on windows I could play World oF Tanks just fine. I thank yoou for trying on that one.

Let me check if my graphics hardware works under wine.

you could also try switching between the opensource and proprietary ATI drivers to see if that makes a difference.
And different versions of the proprietary drivers.

Also world of tanks is supported by the version of Play on Linux in the mint 14/15 repos.
Installing WoT via PoL should give the game the best possible chance of running.
