Hello everybody,
I am using XFCE with compiz. If I switch the focus of the windows using ALT+TAB I can cycle through all applications on all workspaces. Is there any setting of compiz or Xfce where I can change that? I only want to cycle through the apps of the current workspace.
Thanks for everybody in advance trying to help!
Greetings,
Karl

In the post (linked above) about half way down the page they begin talking about how to configure your display focus settings. Hope this helps

Re: Cycle through applications of the current workspace only
Yeah thanks for the hint, I installed skippy-xd (https://code.google.com/archive/p/skippy-xd/) as it was mentioned in the thread you posted.
While it has apparently the feature for switching applications with in a dual monitor environment that the guy posting there was looking for, I am still unable to get the behaviour I am looking for skippy-xd also shows the windows of all my workspaces, although I set the configuration to ShowAllDesktops to false, like mentioned in this post: https://github.com/richardgv/skippy-xd/ ... t-32977001
Any other ideas or experiences with skippy-xd? It's a bit buggy here anyway...

Re: Cycle through applications of the current workspace only
I am using compiz as a window manager (and would really like to keep it), therefore I cannot open the window manager tweaks menu in the setting menu. I checked the compiz settings in ccsm, but I cannot find any option to change it there...all the application switcher plug ins only have the options [cycle through all windows] or [cycle through windows of a group] while a group apparently means something like popups and the browser window.
Re: [solved] Cycle through applications of the current workspace only
Okay this is so weird, it works now
I don't know if it was the updating or the fact that I might have had multiple app switcher plugins activated or might have had some Xfce hotkey activated on ALT+tab, but now it works with the application switcher plug in aswell as with the static application switcher plugin...the ring switcher plugin for example still doesnt work (even if the others are disabled). Weird. Well thanks for helping!
