Can't shut down my computer from the drop-down menu. I get a notice:
"Session manager must be in an idle state before requesting shut-down"
Eventually, after a few tries, the computer shuts down.
I can shut it down from the terminal

p.s. I tried DDG first and got no result. But go ahead and try other search engines, if needed.

Thanks
The problem went away - I had some baulky ham radio logging software (CQRLOG), which even when closed, might have had some process running. I don't know - but that software was updated (Mint update) and the problem went away.
Thanks
Jerry
