I want Opera's Menu to take up less space on bar

My Opera browser looks like this:

How can I make that happen?

Sorry I missed that 47 is out now you should upgrade to that.
Go to settings >Browser> scroll down and make sure pin to sidebar is checked that should remove the opera symbol from the tabs and move it to the sidebar.
Which should make it a bit smaller.
