Can't get past the password: LiveUSB 18.1 and dwm

Post by 525eyes »

Hello,

I'm trying to check out dwm using Serena LiveUSB, but when I select dwm the login won't accept the blank password. I do I get past this?

Some password boxes are written like that, it's the dialog rejecting '' not Linux.

Just for the current Live Session, you can change the password for user 'mint'...
o Flip to a TTY console with key-press Ctrl+Alt+F1 (which will accept null as a valid password) and log in as mint.
o Use the passwd mint command to change user mint's password.
o Flip back to the greeter with keypress Alt+LeftArrow and use the new password.

OR

From the normal Mint, adjust the MDM Greeter to 'timed login' as well as 'automatic login'. Give yourself enough time to change the session.
