Computer froze in the middle of update - now desktop icons and task bar doesn't appear properly
Tried to download latest mint updates when the computer froze. I unplugged my computer but when it started back up, all my desktop icons and tool bars were missing icons. Please let me know how I can get them back - thanks.

Can you get to a terminal?
if so type the following command
when it's finished reboot.
you can get to a terminal by typing CRTL ALT F1.
you'll need to enter your login info.
When finished enter the command to reboot.
good luck
if so type the following command

sudo dpkg --configue -a
you can get to a terminal by typing CRTL ALT F1.

When finished enter the command
Code: Select all
shutdown -r now
