Hi!
Got a mildly annoying aesthetic issue with the Xfce desktop.
I've got several icons on the desktop and like having them arranged in a certain order.
Basically the more frequently ones are on the top left, and the least used are on the bottom left.
For some reason, though two icons in particular (out of a total of twelve), keep showing up in the wrong place whenever I start the computer.
It's not two out of twelve at random, it's always the same two.
The icons themselves work just fine; no problems there.
I just want them to stay put and not wander about.
I was thinking that maybe there was something amiss in the desktop icon files' text.
But nothing jumped out at me.
Is there some sort of (subtle?) trick to tell Xfce to stop moving icons from where I had them?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Straying icons in the Xfce desktop
Additional bit:
Of course, no sooner had I posted that last message than the straying icons changed up.
The two of twelve that had been moving about have stayed put.
But a different one has moved a couple of times.
Does anyone know if this is this just a little quirk in Xfce?
Thanks!

I, too, have this issue and would appreciate a solution. (LM17.3, 32b Xfce.)

This is a common complaint with Xfce, and the only solutions I could ever find ... eg. this ...

Things like this are part of using fairly minimal DEs like Xfce, really.

The last solution (on page 2) doesn't seem to be a PITA.
