When I try to drag a window or resize it, the window only moves (or grows/shrinks) by a few pixels then stops. I can only therefore get the result I want by repeatedly clicking and dragging a few pixels at a time, which is really annoying.
Any ideas anyone?

Re: Window resize or move only few pixels
Are you using a mouse? If so and this just starting happening, I'd check the mouse. Clean the inside. It may not be getting a good connection on your buttons.
Re: Window resize or move only few pixels
No it's not mouse related, same thing with trackpad, trackpoint, external mouse.
Re: Window resize or move only few pixels
Does that stuff work properly when not dealing with windows? (copying text, etc).
If so, it might be a window manager issue; you might take a look at these and their settings (they're also somewhere in your menus)
Code: Select all
xfwm4-settings
xfwm4-tweaks-settings
xfwm4-workspace-settings
Code: Select all
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xfwm4

Yes everything else works fine, just this oddity.
I've been through all those dialogue boxes and everything else I can think of, nothing suggests to me that this is a setting. I also tried dpkg-reconfigure to no avail. Maybe open a bug with xfwm4?

Re: Window resize or move only few pixels
How creating a new user, and see if the problem persists?
After that doesn't work, your can replace xfwm4 ...
search "xfce" "replace xfwm4" ->

This is a bug on workspace #1. Every time you switch to workspace #1 the bug toggle on and off.
Workaround: press ctrl+F1 or switch to workspace #1. Or don't use workspace #1.

Re: Window resize or move only few pixels
Has anyone (that this issue is happening to) reported this on Xfce's Bugzilla page?
Wait... Has anyone first determined that this is an Xfce bug, and not one introduced by Mint? I suppose that would be the first step.
