Whenever I close an application, its icon persists on my toolbar, clickable but not active. R-click doesn't bring up any contextual menu.
If I re-open the same app, a new icon gets created (it doesn't stack even if I have forced stacking) and, when closed, creates another inactive icon on the toolbar.
The machine's running by 4d14h06' but has been sent several times into 'Suspend'.

Re: Persisting icon on toolbar after closing application
Greetings! I am unable to reproduce/observe your problem on my 3 systems (two 9y.o. Dell desktops with LM18.3-xfce.64, one 7y.o.HP laptop with LM18.3-xfce.64 dual-booting with Win7). Also, extended uptimes -- several weeks, in fact -- and multiple suspends (3-4 times per day on average) cause me no problems.
So my question: is there a particular app that causes those orphaned icons, or does this affect EVERY app? Thanks.
