Login Screen Size - Mint Xfce 19
Hello,
I am running Mint 19 with the proprietary Nvidia driver. After the screen locks up the login screen jumps to a lower resolution. The initial login screen has the right resolution and when logged (back) in the screen goes to the right resolution.
Is there a setting that I can use to keep the same higher resolution for when the screen locks up?
Thanks!

Re: Login Screen Size - Mint Xfce 19
It actually did not work. Still at first login the screen is good. Then after a screen lock the resolution decreases.
Any ideas?

Interestingly if I switch user the second user ends up with a small resolution.

Re: Login Screen Size - Mint Xfce 19
I wonder if this is caused by the fact that I am disabling MSI in my NVidia driver?
Code: Select all
NVreg_EnableMSI=0
Re: Login Screen Size - Mint Xfce 19
i been using nvidia since the beginning of my linux experience and never heard of disabling msi or the advantages it would offer. seems you/re trying the hit and miss trial and error but usually the simplest action would be your solution. uninstall nvidia and re-install
i'm using xfce with nvidia-340 but i don't see any change in resolution in login screen
apt remove --purge nvidia*
reboot and install nvidia from driver manageri'm using xfce with nvidia-340 but i don't see any change in resolution in login screen

I tried and it did not make any difference.
Re: Login Screen Size - Mint Xfce 19
I meant I tried ACPI. I will try a re-install as you suggest.
Thanks!

Hi! I have the same problem. Did you manage to set the correct resolution on the lock screen?
