Hi Costa,

If you are using "qBittorrent" from the Mint Software Manager or Synaptic Package Manager SPM, you might consider removing that completely and installing it with their recommended PPA, see link below...

Hi Costa,

In addition to trying various desktop themes, you can try creating a new user and login as that user to see if the icons appear normal.

Hope this helps ...

I figured that if i move the window to my other monitor it goes back to normal, the problem only happens on my external monitor

Hi Costa,

It would have helped if you said you have 2 monitors and the icons look normal on the one monitor but different on the external monitor? What is your system's setup? Is this a laptop with an external monitor or TV and how is it connected HDMI, or something else? What a re the resolutions on each monitor? On the external monitor are all icons larger than on the other monitor or just qBittorrent?

It would help to know more about your system setup. If you run "inxi -Fxzd" and "lsusb" from the console terminal prompt, highlight the results, copy and paste them back here, that should provide enough information.

You may be able to go into the Display settings for the external monitor and adjust scale and or other settings? Cna you provide screenshots?

Hope this helps ...

Sounds like QT5 HiDPI scaling. Run printenv | grep QT to check your settings. See also https://blog.qt.io/blog/2016/01/26/high ... in-qt-5-6/
