[SOLVED] Login User Background briefly shows

Post by JerryF »

Hi all,

Recently reinstalled 19 Xfce. Things seem ok, but now the user background pic that I set for my login no longer shows.

What happens is that the use background pic briefly shows, then the desktop background pic shows.

If I remember correctly, I had to change to a GDM or GTK theme (in the Login Window program) to get the background pic or text to work.

PS: Did you know that the little gear icon in the Login Window program lets you test the chosen theme / pic without having to logout/login.

That's a feature. To disable go to Mint Menu > Login Window and disable "Draw user backgrounds".

Oh boy, I had one of those 'duh' moments.

Thanks gm10, it's working properly now.
