Mint 19 xfce + Notebook: Compaq Presario V3000 + intel Core2 Duo
In extending screen, everything is slow. For one example - pressing a keyboard to input a letter in a cell in LibreOffice Calc, it takes 7 seconds to display a character in such cell.
On the other hand,
1. If the laptop screen is disable, it is fast in the extended monitor.
2. And when I use Sony notebook (Vaio VGN-CR25S + intel Centrino Duo). It is fast in both screens.
Can you please help for I need to use both screens?

Re: Mint 19 xfce : Double monitors caused lagging
That's a 2007 model and Mint 19 has dropped a lot of support for old hardware. This isn't a Mint issue, it involves the Linux kernel, and affects all new distros. I'd try a data backup and clean reinstall of 18.3 Xfce.

Re: Mint 19 xfce : Double monitors caused lagging
Thank you so much for your help, and now it's time for me to say goodbye to all of my 4 old notebooks - all are over 11 years old.
And one more question please.
Does this concern crashing of LibreOffice as well ?
