LibreOffice Calc crashed so often

I have fully migrated to Linux Mint 19 Tara Xfce and LibreOffice.
And LibreOffice Calc crashed so often in unpredictable activities.
Is it the problem of LibreOffice alone and not related to Linux Mint?

You can try removing and reinstalling Calc. Are you facing any other problem?

Totally close all LO applications then try a rename of the LO config folder with

mv ~/.config/libreoffice ~/.config/libreoffice-backup

In the past, I just updated LO by using Update Manager to get the latest version.

Crashing came from unpredictable situations.
One example - when I aligned text in a cell to be 'center', LO Calc crashed.

The only one error message is

 This window might be busy and is not responding.
 Do you want to terminate the application ?

What is the main reason of crashing ?

did you install LibreOffice from the repository, or directly from LibreOffice's website.

for me, the LO from the Mint repository is not stable.....
so, I have abandoned that one, and download it direct from LO's website. https://www.libreoffice.org/

that ended my problems.

I also had to backup to version 5.x,
something is wrong with 6.x and I just never bother to try it again.

Another option is the Flatpak version (currently at 6.1.2.1). Been running it since Mint 19 first came out, never had a problem.
