[SOLVED] Start Menu unresponsive at sides and corners

BUG in Start Menu (XFCE as well as Mate 64bit version of LM19.1 and probably LM19 too), that makes it unresponsive at sides and corners.
You can reproduce this bug easily.
Assuming you’re using bottom Panel, here is what happens
* The extreme corner and sides(at some specific points) of Start Menu do not respond to clicks
* The menu icon glows when mouse hovers above those Unresponsive points, but clicks do not work.
*increase the panel size for easy detection

Have you set up hot corners for anything?

it's not for Cinnamon but xfce and mate are mentioned

I'm on Xfce and click over 20 times all around the Menu icon and could not reproduce. Then I realized you said 19.1 and I'm still on 18.3.

We need some function on the forum that forces me to read (and digest) ALL the words before I can click on Reply!

Can't reproduce on MATE 19.1 with the default mintMenu.py. The menu has an (intentional) border of 3 pixels but nothing "glows" mousing over the border, making it quite obvious that nothing is gained from clicking there.

i personally verified the "glow" and the whole issue on LM19 xfce only, Mate and LM19.1 thing is taken from "Swagger" comment at LM blog at https://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=3671. But i think strongly that it must be reproducible on LM 19.1 xfce too. Don't know about Mate, i apologize for posting about Mate by copying from the blog comments without checking.

the "glow" is actually the colour change due to the icon being highlighted, nothing special, but it occurs randomly when cursor slides at one/both edges
