How to turn off window tiling and resizing when I move the window?

Post by begtognen »

OS: Linux Mint XFCE 20

I've just done a full reinstall and can't remember how to turn this off:

What I'd like: for a window to retain its size when I move it. It looks like this before I move it:

What's currently happening: when I move a window it changes size.

Here are my Window Manager Tweaks (and under Accessibility the only check mark I have is the first one, Raise Windows):

Thank very much for any suggestions.

in XFCE

Settings
Window Manager Tweaks
Accessibility
Automatically tile windows when moving toward the screen edge - uncheck this

"Tile and "Tiling" refer to that
- but neither is indexed
in the settings search system. :-(

[ I really like how XFCE implements but allows to easily disable
a large number of cool but low-value-added frills! :-) ]
