The window to set resolution, frequency and other settings for display pops up every time I start the computer and on most programs I open. For example, opening a terminal to get the info for this post, the window popped up 71 times. The popups seem to occur every 2-3 seconds. I have to let it spawn multiple windows before I can click "close all" and have it remained closed. I just installed xfce yesterday.

The computer laptop can't be worked with until it stops as the popups take the focus away from all the other open programs.

I haven't been able to find anyone else with this problem. Help would be greatly appreciated.
