lightdm-greeter [SOLVED]

Post by outlaw »

Hi all, Im not new to linux but new to mint. I installed the cinnamon version to check it out but ended installing the xfce4 environment also. I want to use the lightdm gtk greeter as it is more customizable than the slick greeter which I'm unfamiliar with anyway. I have searched everywhere on how to activate the lightdm-gtk-greeter but nothing recent, everything seems to be 9 to 10 yrs. old and I'm sure things have changed. any help would be great thank you.

Thank you. I managed to get it working before my post was approved. Have not deleted slick greeter because I think cinnamon is still using it. I have both cinnamon and xfce installed.
